CADENCE PERFORMING ARTS
Cadence Performing Arts is the umbrella organisation for a number of music and movement performance programs in the South of England.
Established in 1991 as the Cadence Drum & Bugle Corps, we have steadily grown and evolved into three groups offering low cost music and performance opportunities. As well as competitions all our groups perform at public events including sports, carnivals, fetes, bonfire parades and county shows. Our group have also been lucky enough to perform on a number of films, commercials and TV shows including ITV 2’s Celebrity Juice.
Although competition is a large part of what we do our long term goals are to build strong links with our local community through performances and to provide memorable experiences for our members through a wide range of performance opportunities both nationally and internationally.
Cadence Performing Arts are a registered charity (1021652) and all our programmes are funded by member subscriptions, donations and fundraising events. The biggest costs are rehearsal venue hire, transportation and insurance all of which increase each year so we are always looking to supplement our income with regular donations or fundraising ideas. Our members often complete their own fundraising events such as sponsored music marathons, car wash days or gruelling 50 mile walks all of which bring in much needed funds to the group.
Cadence Performing Arts are pleased to announce that from 2020 we will be partnered with Orion Musical Instruments based in Fort Worth, TX. This partnership will provide Cadence with a complete line of Orion instruments for our Indoor Winds Group.
